Known as the “Lobster Claw” plant for its striking bracts, Heliconia has been a symbol of tropical beauty for centuries. With Heliconia Rookery™, we’ve brought this exotic heritage into a compact, home-friendly format.
Destination
Your Heliconia loves warm, sheltered spots — a bright living room, a covered patio, or a sunny balcony. It thrives in containers and brings an instant tropical atmosphere to any space. Keep it away from cold drafts and frost.
Seat — Sun Exposure
Give your Heliconia bright, indirect to full sunlight — ideally 6 to 8 hours per day. It loves warmth and light but can handle partial shade. Avoid harsh midday sun in very hot climates to prevent leaf scorching.
Cabin Climate — Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Heliconia loves humidity — mist the leaves regularly or place on a pebble tray with water. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot. Water more frequently in warm weather.
